Holmesglen’s Certificate IV in Cyber Security has been developed to provide you with practical skills in identifying and reporting system vulnerabilities, website and system threats, evaluating and reporting cyber security incidents, and securing PC and mobile devices.<p>You'll also gain skills in penetration testing, networking fundamentals, network security basics, and firewall installation, configuration, and management.<p>You'll learn about what's involved in working as part of an incident response team, web security, programming in Python, and organisational policies and processes for cyber security.<p>Holmesglen’s Certificate IV in Cyber Security has been developed to provide you with practical skills in:<br>• identifying and reporting system vulnerabilities<br>• identifying and reporting website and system threats<br>• evaluating and reporting cyber security incidents<br>• securing PCs and mobile devices<br>• Pen testing<br>• networking fundamentals<br>• Network security basics<br>• firewall installation, configuration, and management<br>• Working as part of an incident response team<br>• Web security<br>• programming: Python<br>• organisational policies and processes for cyber security<p>This program is strongly supported by our industry and Academy Partners: Cisco Networking Academy, Microsoft Academy, Amazon Web Services Academy (AWS), LifeJourney, and the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD).<p>This program is delivered in a hybrid format, enabling learners to attend either in person on campus or remotely through scheduled live WebEx sessions, following the provided timetable. Mandatory attendance is recorded and monitored.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
